Don Keenan
Painting a subject without their knowing it, a surprise portrait, is always fraught with danger… and in the case of Don Keenan, doubly so. A larger than life character, electrifying, the trial lawyer community with his “Reptile Theory” of practice, a TV personality, renowned children’s advocate, often to be found unshaved wearing shorts, T-shirt, and always those sunglasses. An ex-marine of Irish blood and creator of the Kids Foundation and Bono aficionado. All this and more went into this painting. It was with relief that I saw it was warmly and enthusiastically received at its unveiling in Houston. Kudos to the courage of the man brave enough to commission this painting!

Randi McGinn
Randi McGinn is one of the best trial lawyers in the United States, having tried to verdict over 130 jury trials against the Goliaths of this world --insurance companies, product manufacturers, trucking companies and the government. She was the first woman president of the Inner Circle of Advocates, the 100 best plaintiffs' lawyers in the United States, she teaches lawyers around the country about how to effectively try cases and is the author of the Trial Guides book, "Changing Laws, Saving Lives: How to Take on Corporate Giants and Win."
Known for her creativity in the courtroom and use of demonstrative evidence to visualize opening, direct, cross-examination and closing argument she once destroyed an adverse witness by leaving him standing in front of the jury covered with post-its and clutching a grapefruit to his chest. She grilled a government snitch to the point where he threw up and In a particularly hard-won police shooting case, the local SWAT cops put her face on their Christmas pinata and took turns whacking it with a big stick.
Randi McGinn's practice is based on the belief that the cases she handles can make a difference by making wrongdoers take responsibility and pay for the damages they cause, and by forcing companies, government agencies and individuals to change the policies, procedures and behavior that injured or killed her clients.
She started her career dramatically by giving birth to her daughter Heather, the day before the 3-day bar examination. She is now a senior partner in McGinn, Montoya, Love & Curry a 5 woman, 2 man law firm in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers; past AAJ Governor; past president of the New Mexico Trial Lawyers’ Association and NACDL board member, she is one of the most sought after speakers on both the criminal and civil trial lawyer circuit.
In her own words One of the few things that strikes fear in the hearts of corporate wrongdoers is the American jury. It is the one incorruptible group that is almost impossible to buy or bribe.
Randi McGinn ...... a force to be reckoned with.
